The JOY Challenge: Day 36

I am linking with Holley from in(courage) on her 40 day journey to choose joy. Won't you join us? If you would like to jump back to day 1 of my journey, click here. Or, to jump back to day 1 of her journey, click here.

I don't think I have ever been so happy for the weekend to arrive. It has been a busy and challenging week with my class winding to a close. As of right now, I am down to the last 2 assignments (a test that I am dreading and a 15 page paper) which count for 40% of my final grade! I used to be really good at taking tests, but now, not so much. Can you say just a little bit of a stress? Think that might have just a little bit to do with the physical symptoms I am experiencing right now? I think my body is revolting! Ha! Or, maybe the enemy is trying to stop me on my mission to share God's hope and comfort with others. Who knows. Sometimes, I am overwhelmed by this program. This class puts me at 25% of the way done, with 45 credits (15 classes) left to complete! LORD, give me endurance!

In any case, today, I choose joy in my husband and the way that he takes care of me. The other day, he asked me, "How would you like to go away this weekend?" No place special. No place far. Just away. Just the two of us. We won't even really be doing anything except resting, me doing homework, and him grading assignments. In peace... and quiet... away from everything... and everyone.

Sounds amazing, doesn't it? I hope to come home on Sunday well rested, with my test done, and my vision restored. That's not too much to hope for, is it?

How are you choosing joy today?
