So, don't shoot me, I took a little break. Not from joy. Just from blogging. Just for the weekend... and let me just tell you, boy did we get a lot accomplished! We are trying very hard to be content where we are and to adjust (read: DOWNSIZE!) some things in our home to make that a little easier.
Last night, we picked a few knick-knacks from the top of our kitchen display shelf to pass along to someone else who can enjoy them. Then, we were able to move a few other things from down on the kitchen counter up to the empty spaces. I like getting into projects like this because it helps me to clean areas that typically get overlooked. And, boy, was this place overlooked! My goodness, we're talking dust glued down with cooking grease. Courtesy of all D.T.'s yummy cooking! You just couldn't see it because it was up so high! Well, now it is clean (praise God for Greased Lightning) and I feel so much better. On to more projects!!!
Today, I am choosing joy in the home God has blessed us with and for the wisdom and energy He is giving us to make the best of it.

I did that dreaded task a few weeks ago when we had our downstairs (incl. the kitchen) painted. Amazing how yucky it gets up there. Yard sale this weekend so I'm cleaning up/purging even more.
PS - Penny is doing well and still getting spoiled! Life is good for her!
Ooooo nesting! Nest away girl.
It does bring joy knowing your nest is clean.
