The JOY Challenge: Day 10

I am linking with Holley from in(courage) on her 40 day journey to choose joy. Won't you join us? If you would like to jump back to day 1 of my journey, click here. Or, to jump back to day 1 of her journey, click here.

This is starting to be kind of fun. You know, I actually start thinking throughout the day, "Praise God! What a blessing this (whatever, such and such) is."

So, today, I choose joy in a couple of different things:

  • Throwing away garbage. I don't know about you, but it just clears my head and makes me feel so much more free from all the junk, even if I just throw out a thing or two!

  • Music! I was listening to my Laura Story CD in the car on the way home yesterday, and it really encouraged me.

  • Helping others. There have been some times recently when God blessed us in ways that allowed us to reach out to others and meet some needs in their lives. That feels good, and it brings me joy. Could it possibly have anything to do with getting my eyes off of myself? Hmmm... interesting concept. ;-)
So, what is another joy-stopper in my life? Conflict. Definitely conflict. I just. don't. like. it.

I'm more of a peace-keeping kind of girl. I like things calm and peaceful.

Wow. That was all really random.

How about you? Any joy-stoppers? What about joy? How is God blessing you?

Living in His JOY, HOPE, and PEACE...

I am finding joy in quietness. Usually, the TV, radio, or something is on in the house. There are times when I just turn off EVERYTHING that makes a noise. My head is soooo much clearer.

I don't like conflict either! So we agree, good thing for both of us. (: Thanks again for joining me on my joy journey!
