Oh, and I almost forgost! I want to stencil the words "JOY", "HOPE", and "PEACE" on the drawers ~ one word on each drawer between the knobs! What do you think???
...when I asked my dad for the measurements on the old changing table in their attic (I want to see how much more room I need in the nursery closet), and he sent me this...
Such a practical man! Plus he probably figured the next thing I was going to ask for was a picture. ;-)
OK, so I am going to need your help again soon! Well, as soon as I manage to find the time to pick out a few different shades of light green (that seemed to be the consensus for room color on my last post about this) to put up an opinion poll.
For the changing table, I'm thinking we'll either paint it brown, black, white, or light green (to match the room walls), and then do some funky knobs and a nice fabric covered changing pad on the top to coordinate with the funky knobs. ;-)
I'm also wondering if we should replace the "stick feet" with more "knob-like" feet. It's lookin' a little rickety to me, but that might just be the picture. Then again, maybe that will make the table too short and close to the floor? Maybe we should just get some sturdier (more sturdy?) "stick feet."
Well, that's all for now. Just wanted to check in with everybody. How are y'all doin' anyway??? :-)Living in His JOY, HOPE, and PEACE...

Hi C.C. Good idea about the feet. I would change em. Then I was thinking you should paint the dresser/changing table a base color then little circles that go with the green! That would be fun! Then maybe do a striped pattern for the changing pad...
Yes if you need me to help I will come visit!
Oh so not kidding! :) I would love to help...sure my kidlings would love to paint too :) I love the idea! GREAT ONE!!
Love the feet idea! It will be SO CUTE once you get done!
Hi, Thank you for your sweet email a few weeks ago...I am just now starting to respond to them..and it is slow going...but I thought I would post a comment instead.
I love your blog picture - so sweet! I am sorry also that you have MS...it is a not-so-fun disease...but GOD! We will pray for your complete healing...God is more than able as I am walking (literally) proof!
Hugs from Colorado,
Linny
Your Dad sure is practical, I wish everyone I deal with was like that. I like green for the room color too. I can't wait to see the finished product!
I love the words Joy Hope and Peace. I think it would be perfect on that dresser. Love your ideas so far.
