Diet 101: Breakfast

A typical breakfast for me these days...

Total: 220 calories, 5.5 grams of fat, 10 grams of fiber, 14 grams of protein

Any other good ideas or suggestions? The goal is to increase the fiber and the protein, to choose better carbs, and to lower the fat and overall calories. :-)

have you heard of "Hungry Girl"? it's a great website and if you sign up for their emails, they sent recipes and tidbits every night (one a day). they have really interesting recipes and are big on increasing fiber and protein and decreasing calories and fat!

A typical breakfast for me is two of the following:
-fruit
-some type of fiber or protein (grain toast with PB, a small bowl of bran cereal, oatmeal with flaxseed).
-yogurt with granola added to it (don't know how healthy it is but its yummy!).
-a boiled egg (I boil several on Sunday and have them ready to grab in a hurry)

I think that's about it. I don't know the calories but I my aim is to keep me energized and full while I chase 1yr olds around til I can refuel at lunch!
