Out of the mouths of babes...

I promised you some pictures from this past Sunday, so here they are. We had such a good time with both of the girls AND their lovely parents. The mother made us a very yummy lunch! Their father is quite the photographer, too. He enjoyed taking many pictures of all of us ALL afternoon. :-)

The older sister was wearing D.T.'s boots. Hehehe!
She did a good job of filling his shoes.

The girls said I was the strongest woman in the world
because I was able to carry both of them at once!

My favorite conversation of the afternoon happened
when the younger sister said to me:
D.T. growed in Romania and you growed in English, right?
Seriously, I am laughing right now just remembering it. Ha!

A close second as far as favorite conversations of the afternoon would have to be when the younger sister (she really is quite a fire ball, especially with all that curly hair!) said to D.T.: Since you don't have any children, your dogs are like your children, right? Yes, dear. They are like our children. Such wisdom. She couldn't possibly even begin to realize the truth of her statement.

This one is my absolute favorite!
D.T. is naturally in a very good mood most of the time,
but I can't say as I ever remember him being quite this happy.

It's funny. Yesterday and today, the younger sister and her father were at our place of work waiting to pick up the mother from some business she was taking care of. The older sister was, of course, at school. Both days, they were parked outside in their van, and the girl spotted me through the window of my office. Of course, I had to step outside to see them for a few minutes, and I was happy to love on my little friend for a while. In return, she seemed all too happy to love on me for a little while, too. You know, both of the girls really do my heart a lot of good. I am so grateful to God for His blessing of good friends... young and old, big and small!

Living in His JOY, HOPE, and PEACE...
