Wordful Wednesday ~ Summer Wishes!

Welcome to Wordful Wednesday,
as hosted by Angie at
Seven Clown Circus!

It is yucky and rainy out today. Actually, it's been raining since yesterday with no end in sight. :-(

I wish it were summer again. There is something about Fall and Winter that just depresses me. Oh, well. God made all the seasons, so I will try to find something good about all of them.

Like Summer! Yes, that is a very good season. Grass. Sun. Warmth.

Bertie (my niece-dog) certainly enjoys it... AND her summer corn!

My goodness, she sure cleaned that cob off!

Today, I choose joy in God's protection! This morning, I woke up and went downstairs to take Ben outside, only to find our front door unlocked and OPEN!!! Nothing was gone. No one was inside. There was just water on the floor in the entry from all the rain! I guess we must have neglected to lock it, and the wind blew it open!

*Oops*

I am grateful, though, that God watched over us and our home and kept us safe!

Living in His JOY, HOPE, and PEACE...

***Don't forget to pray for someone today!

I agree - summer is my favorite season.

I prefer spring and fall and I'm one of the weird ones who enjoys rain. I believe that is the first dog I've ever seen to eat corn on the cob!!!

So glad no one was in your house! We have gone to bed with the door unlocked before too and so thankful He watched over us.

Oh my gosh! I am so glad that no one took that opportunity to come in your home. We've done the same thing with the garage door (left it up) and we never lock that door between our house and garage. Bad habit, I know! It's a scary thought!

How cute! I don't think I've ever seen a dog do that. Our dog growing up loved spaghetti. That was a funny sight too.

The rain has finally left us here. Hope it has up there too!
