Not Me Monday!

This is probably a new concept for the readers of my blog, but it is definitely fun. You might want to check out some of the old Not Me Monday! posts on the blog of MckMama to get the idea. So, here is my first attempt...

This week, no matter what anyone tells you, I most certainly did not do any of the following:



DoubleT and I did not head out of town for a family weekend on Wednesday afternoon. We also did not stop part way to stay overnight because it got too dark and we were afraid we would die driving over the mountain in the snow. Waking up the next morning, very well rested I might add, I did not discover that the two pair of jeans we knew we had packed for me never made it into the suitcase. This did not mean that I only had 1 outfit (other than a skirt) worthy of wearing for our adventures in the forest. Showing my cheap side and need to maintain our travel schedule, I did not decide that I was not going to stop somewhere to buy additional clothing. I then did not proceed to wear my one pair of pants and top for 5 days in a row. Hey, it's the woods, right?

On the drive to meet my family in the forest, I definitely did not play iBowling on DoubleT's iPod for more than 3 hours straight. I am not that obsessed with anything. Nope, not me!

In the cabin where we stayed, I (and my sister) did not spend hours foregoing some of our usual yearly family activities in order to scrapbook our adoption album. We did not get through more than 75% of the album! I do not only have a few pages, finishing touches, and journaling to complete for the album to be ready to submit!!

I did not survive without internet access or a cell phone signal for almost 4 days!

We did not eat breakfast at the local Eat 'N Park this morning for the 1st time in I can't remember how many years, and I am not right now, at this very moment, writing this post when I should be packing and getting ready to head back home.

Nope, not me!

Cassie, one of our cats that now lives with my parents, did not just jump into my lap and start purring...

Guess we should get going so we can spend the next 6 hours on the road! Hope to see or hear from y'all soon! Don't forget to vote tomorrow and pray for our country!
