I emailed (how easy is that!) all (well, most) of the pics we scanned this past weekend to the photo shop at W**mart for 1-hour processing. After work, we left IMMEDIATELY and headed straight to pick them up. We did not pass go, and we most certainly did not collect $200. Wish we had.
Pulling into the parking lot, we planted our very nice rental car directly in the farthest, most remote location we could to avoid any unintended accidents. You can't be too careful, especially with a rental car.
Once inside, I headed to get the 107 photos (literally), and DoubleT headed over to the grocery section to pick up some pork for the grill. A quick and easy dinner, I'll admit, but really, I think DoubleT would eat pork on the grill every night of the week if I would let him. Must be a Romanian thing.
Well, our divide and conquer plan worked, and we found ourselves arriving home at 5:51 p.m. A very early record, according to recent reports. Dinner by 6:30, and on to scrapbooking! I'd say it was a successful evening.
Here is the page we worked on tonight (minus journaling, of course)...
Let's play a game.
Who can guess what year these pictures were taken when our family celebrated DoubleT's American citizenship and my father's birthday, both on the same day?!?
I'll even give you some clues. The following historical and political events also happened in the life of America that same year...
- President Bush signs the largest tax cut in 2 decades
- Republicans lose control of the senate when Jim Jeffords of Vermont changes his party affiliation from republican to independent
- Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh is executed
Fun tidbit... DoubleT used to cook for the congressman in this picture at the local Sicilian restaurant where he worked. He is a man of MANY talents!
I guess that's about it for now. Don't forget to guess a year and post it in the comments!
Time to go to bed!
9:47 p.m. A true record.
Living in His JOY, HOPE, and PEACE...
