Fellow Sojourners ~
Isn't God's grace AMAZING! No matter how many times we fail, He is always there with open arms and a fresh new start!
I've never been one for New Year's resolutions, but maybe I should be. There are really 3 goals which I would like to accomplish this year.
1. to grow closer to God than I ever have before by seeking His face, hearing His voice and following His will
2. to grow closer to others and impact them for His kingdom purpose
3. to lose weight
Ok, ok, so the 3rd one kind of broke the line of thought, but these are the things I want to do with God's help.
With that said, I would like to ask for your prayers and offer my commitment to pray for you, as well.
How you can specifically pray for me...
1. That I would be consistent in seeking Christ
2. That I would be content
3. That I would trust His direction and His timing
How I am specifically praying for you...
Colossians 1:9 - 12
For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.

One last thing which I say not to complain, but because I would covet your prayers. Many of you know that I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in November of 1997. Since then, I've been very blessed to have what I consider only minor problems as a result. For various reasons, which I won't go into right now, there is some suspicion that I may have a second, somewhat similar, although potentially more serious auto-immune disease (Lupus). I go to the doctor this afternoon for an evaluation and testing. Please pray that God's will would be accomplished even in uncertain circumstances. After all, He is good all the time!

Erin,
You are in my prayers and we both know the God we serve has great plans for you in His service. There is nothing this world can diagnose and surprise God or keep you from accomplishing all that God has called you to be and do.
