Anywho.
My grandmother, I am not. Wish I was.
She was the cookie queen. I remember all the wonderful smells and busyness in her kitchen around the holidays. Unfortunately, I am WAY out of practice in the cooking realm, and I made a
*sigh*
D.T. was SO tired last night! I asked him if he wanted to help me make the haystack cookies my sister also asked for, and he kind of rolled over, grunted, and fell back asleep. We're talkin' 9 p.m. here, people! What in the world!!! Of course, this AM, his back hurt 'cause he slept too much.
My phone is on its last life. I think I've dropped it a few too many times. LOL! It won't call anybody. Or receive calls, for that matter. If I call out, it doesn't connect and terminates the call after about 3 seconds. If D.T. calls me from his phone, it just clicks and then has a rapid busy signal. I called my company, and they helped me reprogram the phone, but to no avail. So, they said "Hold on while we check if you are still under warranty." Of course, I know I'm not under warranty, but whatever. Then, they come back and say, "Your phone is still under warranty, so we will send you a new one right away." What?!?!?!? I told them the truth. How long I've had it. The scratches on the screen. We don't want to renew our contract... and they're going to send me a new phone?!?!?! Ok. Who am I to argue? :-)
What is your favorite holiday cookie? Do share! :-)

My grandmother used to make the best divinity. Yum! She also made Boston Hermits. She left me both recipes and I will be trying my hand at them this year. :)
My favorite are the candy cane cookies. Twisted pink and white dough with sprinkled sugar or powdered sugar on top. MMMMMMM!
Give me fudge (no nuts) anyday!
Yay about the phone.
I love the peppermint ritz cracker cookies. YUM and so so easy. they taste just like girl scout thin mints only better.
Cute post..that picture of your grandma is adorable.
the ones with the kisses in the middle! YUM!!
Love that picture of your Grandma. Sometimes I amaze myself at my lack of commonsense or just not thinking.
LOL...You use tidbits all you want. I think it's a cute word!
You look a lot like your Grandmother! I'm sure you miss her lots! My favorite holiday cookie is white chocolate covered peanut butter ritz crackers. I'm actually going to make them this year. I hope I don't mess them up too bad!
