Finally!

D.T. and I are finally going to have the downstairs of our house painted this weekend... after 3 YEARS!!! Can you believe it?

I'm not a procrastinator. Nope! Not me! ;-)

I am SO excited I can hardly stand it!

But, we also have SO much to do to get ready! We need to take everything off the walls, take the curtains down, move everything off of all the flat surfaces which even comes close to touching the walls. This is hard for a clutter bug like me who has a pile of something on every flat surface that exists in our home. LOL! We have to empty out our china closet so that we can move it. We can't even think about trying to move it with the stuff inside because it is WAY too heavy!

Phew! Lots to do, and only 2 nights to do it all! Better get hoppin'! ;-)

I'll post before and after pics. We're going with that "Crocodile Tears" color in the kitchen and we are going to carry it through to most of the living room because there are really no good stopping points along the walls that join the two rooms.

Then, the back wall where the love seat and the curtains are will be an accent color.

I think we are going to go with burgundy, although that is still slightly up for debate. We have to go buy the paint tonight, so we've really got to make our minds! Plus, we're paying somebody to come paint, so we want to get it right and not have to pay to have it redone. Ha!

Wish us luck!

Today, I am choosing joy in seeing our house come together little by little. Last night, we even cleaned out some dishes and put away a new set we got at S@m's Club! Gotta love S@m's Club. :-)

Thanks for your comment WITH ideas on my page.

Painting or rather getting a makeover is so much fun. I love the crocodile tears color but I might love the name even more. Can't wait to see the pictures.

What would you think of a nice chocolate brown with perhaps a slight touch of burgundy? It's just a thought.
