This means WAR!

Please allow me to start off by saying that I have no idea how I managed to be #1 on MckMama's much-anticipated Not Me! Monday! post after her seven-week LOOOONG hiatus.


I've been #1 one other time, quite a while back. However, even though I received a significant increase in traffic that time, I did not expect, nor could I fathom what happened this time.


All I can say is that I pray someone, or perhaps a few someones may have been encouraged by the words God used to encourage me.

Moving on to the title of today's post.

Since arriving home from Romania this past weekend, the enemy has been quite creative in an attempt to divert our attention and dampen our spirits. No single area of our lives has been left untouched. Our finances. Our bodies. Our home. Our family.

Feels a little like Job, I think.

Then, after my post yesterday, which I think must have ticked him off just a bit, the enemy decided to step things up a notch.

What did he do, you ask?

He messed. with. my. puppies!

Clever, perhaps. Definitely cunning.

Well, I am here to tell you:

he. will. not. win!

I will not be deterred or defeated or distracted from my determination to be wholly devoted to HIM!

My God knows every moment that lies ahead of me, and He can be trusted to handle all the daily circumstances of my life.

My goodness. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills.

Do I think He needs me to handle anything for Him?

What He does want is for me to trust Him. And to give Him glory.

So, today, I choose to do just that. To take up the tools He has given me as my defense and to walk closely beside Him... the One who is able to keep me from stumbling.

The enemy may think he has won the battle, but I'm here to tell you: my GOD has already won the WAR!
