Short for "Cinnamon Crunch," my most favorite breakfast bagel treat! I am a 30-something, totally Type-A, slightly OCD, yet somehow cluttered woman of FAITH. I love JESUS, my husband, my family, and my SON!!! I value peace, yet appreciate what God has taught me through the trying and sometimes painful circumstances of life in this fallen world. I enjoy writing (especially blogging), reading, watching tv, and playing with our dogs. My continual prayer for this blog is that God will help me to share the experiences of my life in a way that would minister to others and bring glory to Him!

Not Me Monday!

Wow, the week really flies by! It's that time again...

This week, no matter what anyone tells you, I most certainly did not do any of the following:

I did not actually get on the treadmill only once this week. I also did not intentionally leave it down the rest of the week, but neglect to get on it any more. Nope! Not me!! I will not try to do better this week.

We have not entered the paper chase yet again *sigh* in our adoption process by starting our applications for grants and loans. It definitely does not seem like there is just about as much documentation to collect for these applications as there was for the actual adoption application, and I am SO excited to be doing this again. :-(

Today, I did not ~~sucker D.T. into helping me~~ politely ask my loving husband to assist me in cleaning out our dresser drawers. They were not very difficult to close because they were jam packed with things that we never use. This process did not turn into a total rearranging of our bedroom which took ALL DAY! I am not completely amazed that this is the first time in two years that we have done this because I do not totally have a need to rearrange things... a lot. When I was in college, you definitely would not have seen me and my roommates rearrange our room at least twice a semester. ;-) Our room does not look so much better now, I am not glad to be finished with this project, and I am not really tired.

Shawna said...: I've been waiting until the holiday season settled down a bit in order to drop you a note and say thank you for following "Birthed In Our Hearts..." It's such an encouragement to walk this adoption journey with fellow heirs. One thing that has been drilled into our heads at church has been the fact that God created us to be relational. How true that is and it is so much easier to take this journey with other believers there to cheer you on in this race of endurance.

I've enjoyed reading your testimony and I look forward to following your journey to bring home the child God has chosen before the foundation of the world was laid.
