I'll admit it.
My name is C.C. and I have a problem with clutter.
Don't believe me? Need a closer look...
Umm... yeah. THAT is supposed to be the closet in the guest room / nursery.
Riiiiiiight. I'm totally seeing room for diapers and clothes in there.
I know... I know... like all of you, I would MUCH rather be doing something like this...
but I really DO need to get started because pretty much every closet, bookshelf, flat surface, nook and cranny of this 1000 square foot castle I love looks just about like the picture at the top... including the attic!
So, off we go to find the nerve to
Watch for pictures in the coming weeks and months... I've got some interesting ideas floating around this brain of mine. Let's see if I can make them reality!
How about all you creative space-saving connoisseurs out there? Any great ideas I can

Hi CC,
I have a problem with clutter too so dont think I have tips for you. I seem to be really great at organizing the kids toys, and clothes--a little good at organizing their homeschool room but pretty bad at organizing anything else! I have more junk drawers in my kitchen then I care to admit :) My clothes? They are all over my bedroom floor right now.
I love your blog--I just started reading yesterday and I am hooked!
Was it you that was diagnosed with MS? I noticed that on your sidebar from 1997. My kids and I have a chronic illness called mastocytosis. Different from MS, but I think they can both be considered autoimmune diseases.
I am so glad you found me as now I can get to know you! I am praying for your adoption journey--I am adopted. : ) I have always dreamed about adopting a child but I think we are complete with the two I gave birth to. That is, unless God shows us differently later : ).
Take care and have a Merry Christmas!
Oh yes, Were going to be great friends! I can already tell we have three things in common right off. Clutter, Sleep and Wireless internet! :o)
Hey!
I recently went on a de-cluttering frenzy of my own...and though it's hard at the time, when it's over it is SO freeing! I don't have space-saving tips besides, get rid of it! But here are some of the rules I make myself follow when I am de-cluttering...
-if I haven't worn it/them in a year, get rid of it (all of my clothes now fit in two trunks!)
- if I don't remember where it came from (stuff like wedding favors, baby shower favors, etc.), get rid of it
- if it was a gift and I don't like it, someone else will, get rid of it
- besides my favorite keepsakes, if I don't have a use for it, get rid of it
-and the hardest one to follow, once it goes in the trash or goodwill bag, I CANNOT take it back out
Oh! space saving tip I do remember-get a shoe organizer, they're cheap and then you don't have to dig for shoes. And when you organize them, it's amazing how many you realize you never wear. I got rid of 11 pairs and I LOVE my shoes!
Can't wait to see the finished pictures and the ideas you'll be putting into life!
Prayers & blessings,
Jessi
OK, I just laughed when I saw your top picture (missed a few posts w/all the Christmas stuff/traveling going on)! It's nice to know someone else's house looks like mine does behind closed doors! I opened my hall closet the other day in front of my grandma (whom I've only seen 8 times my entire life) to put away a toy I had to confiscate from my son only to have the entire top shelf emptied on my head! How embarrassing! It's crazy to think of all the stuff I could get done if I turned the computer off ... but for some reason, this is waaaaay more fun than cleaning!
so um yeah...not ideas really. i totally am a clutter-er too. :0) it's SO nice to see someone else who has it. :0) i'm a follower now and can't wait to see/hear more of your beautiful journey! but i'm tired and before i really start rambling..i'm off to bed. :0)
